HMD Global, the company which holds the license to Nokia mobile brand, has started sending invites for the launch event of their next smartphone Nokia X71 which will be launched in Taiwan. Nokia X71 will be the first model from Nokia brand with a hole punch display and the launch event is expected to be held on April 2.

On April 2 itself, Nokia 9 Pureview will be launched in Taiwan. It has been revealed that Nokia X71 will have a 48 megapixel camera, and there are also possible chances of the model getting named as Nokia 8.1 plus. While the X series has been used in Chinese variants, the International versions don't have the X names.

It has also been said that there will be some variations between the Chinese version X71 and the International version 8.1 Plus, as the former will sport a triple rear camera while 8.1 will feature two rear cameras. Nokia 8.1 revealing video had also presented the punch hole display and will have Snapdragon 710 SoC.
