YouTuber rapes woman and uploads video on social media; Arrested

A man from Noida has been arrested by the police after he allegedly raped and blackmailed a woman before posting a video of the crime on social media platforms.

The complaint was registered after a woman from Noida Sector 76 approached the police and accused a YouTuber, identified as Rajiv Kumar, of raping and blackmailing her before he posted a video of the incident on social media platforms. In her initial complaint on October 27, he woman had claimed that Rajiv Kumar had invited her to meet him at an address, where he spiked her drink and then sexually assaulted her when she was unconscious. He apparently recorded a video of the crime and blackmailed her into giving him money. However, he uploaded the video on social media despite her payment of the demanded amount.

Based on the woman’s complaint, the police arrested Rajiv Kumar and remanded him in judicial custody for 14 days. The accused has reportedly been working as a fitness trainer, which was how the victim had come in contact with him.
