Akhil, the young scion of Akkineni family, has turned full-time actor with action-entertainer Akhil – The Power of Jua. The film which was opened to cinemas for Diwali has received disaster talk from its first show and the exhibitors ended up losing huge sum due to the dismal performance of the film.
Grapevine is that the disastrous result of Akhil is showing a negative impact on the satellite rights of the film. Those in the know say that none of the television channels are coming forward to grab the satellite rights of the film for fancy price. Ahead of its release, a leading entertainment channel has offered Rs 7 cr for the satellite rights to producers Nithiin and Sudhakar Reddy. But, the producers refused to seal the deal and are of the opinion that their film will mint nothing less than Rs 10 cr.
Much to their disappointment, there are no takers for Akhil, says sources. Even though the makers are trying to sell the film, the channels are quoting very minimal price which eventually didn`t impress the makers!
