It may sound surprising, but Anurag Kashyap's 2007 film 'No Smoking', which tanked at the box office, reported to have won awards in China.

'No Smoking', which starred John Abraham-Ayesha Takia, was honoured with few awards at the Indian Film Festival in Beijing (China).

Feeling quite elated over the win, No Smoking's producer Kumar Mangat said that he is very happy that the film is being awarded and appreciated even outside India. He felt wonderful to know that the movie which was released fours ago is still getting a huge platform and a chance to be part of international festivals.

Co-producer Vishal Bhardwaj too shared similar views on winning the awards. He added that it is overwhelming to know that a movie like 'No Smoking' which is far different from the customary commercial cinema has garnered so much appreciation.
