No similarities in 'Sahi Dhandhe Galat Bande' & 'Khosla Ka Ghosla' - Parvin Dabas

Parvin Dabas has seen maximum recognition come his way through films like 'Monsoon Wedding' and 'Khosla Ka Ghosla'. However the Delhi man insists that his debut directorial outing 'Sahi Dhandhe Galat Bande' has nothing to do with the Dibakar Banerjee comedy/social satire that caught everyone's attention when released five years ago.

Perhaps some people are trying to draw parallels because both films deal with the life of a common man, are set in and around Delhi and has some actors which are common to both films. Well, this could be the case with so many films and it is just a coincidence that my new film has some elements in common with 'Khosla Ka Ghosla'. But no, it wasn't a conscious decision at all, says Parvin whose wife Preeti Jhangiani is producing 'Sahi Dhandhe Galat Bande'.

The film is about a gang comprising of four friends - Parvin Dabas, Vansh Bharadwaj (seen earlier in Preity Zinta's Videsh - Heaven on Earth), Ashish Nayyar and Kuldip Ruhil who are given a job which would give them enough money to make all their dreams come true. However to achieve that they are required to go against their conscience and the village to which they belong.

Starring Anupam Kher, Kiran Juneja, Sharat Saxena and Yashpal Sharma in other principal roles, 'Sahi Dhandhe Galat Bande' releases on 19th August.
