Prithviraj, one of the actors from Malluwood to have made it big in Tamil, feels that Malayalam film industry has lost its realism.

Busy shooting for a Tamil movie in Chennai, the actor says, 'Gone are those days when the Malayalam movies had substance and spoke for itself. It is more commercialized'.

Going further ahead, he says, in contrast, the Tamil film industry has advanced in techniques by leaps and bounds and five of the top ten technicians in the Indian film industry are from Kollywood.

The actor says even the likes of Mammootty and Mohanlal do not enjoy an extended run in Tamil film industry. Hence I would be more careful in sustaining my place in Tamil filmdom and accept movies with care.
