No quarrels any more: Lawrence to direct Laxmmi Bomb

Director Raghava Lawrence was supposed to make his Bollywood debut with the remake of his 2011 summer blockbuster horror comedy 'Kanchana', titled as 'Laxmmi Bomb' and starring Akshay Kumar and Kiara Advani in lead roles.

However, two weeks back, the director announced that he is quitting the project, as he had not been given the respect he deserves and even the first look was released without his consent. "I value self-respect more than anything else. I can't direct the movie and no filmmaker should face this kind of treatment," Lawerence said in an open statement.

A few days back, however, Lawerence was reached out by the production house. The producers came to Chennai to convince him to rejoin the project.

On Saturday night, Lawrence made it official that he is set to direct the remake and even said that the talks have been positive. He thanked Akshay Kumar and producer Shabinaa Khan for the support.
