Bollywood actor Solanki Diwakar, who has played pivotal roles in films such as 'Titli', 'Sonchiriya', and 'Dream Girl' now sells fruits in the streets of New Delhi due to COVID-19 lockdown. With the lockdown, the actor had no movie works and was financially hit. The 35-year-old actor says that if not the virus, then hunger will definitely kill him and his family.
"With the lockdown being extended I have to take care of my needs. I have to pay for my rent and also need money to meet the expenses of my family. So I have turned back to selling fruits," says Diwakar, who is hopeful about returning to the cinema once the pandemic is over.
Diwakar was supposed to star alongside late actor Rishi Kapoor in an upcoming film. However, with the extension of the lockdown and the untimely demise of the veteran actor, Diwakar is unsure of his role in the upcoming movie.
