Speaking at the success meet of Nannaku Prematho, Rajendra Prasad said that though the film generated not-so-positive talk on Day 1, it has fetched humongous collections. "There is no link between the talk on Day 1 and the collections it has has been able to garner. A real good film is unstoppable," he said.

"The credit for the success of this film goes to the audience. The fact that the young generation has lapped up the film is especially surprising. If, after watching this film, the father-son relationship in many houses is becoming better, it is because of Sukumar," the Nata Kiriti said.

He had a rare compliment for NTR as well. "If I could emote 100% emotionally, it is because of NTR. I was also thrilled to work with Jagapathi Babu," he said.
