No growth for heroes who dominate directors: Dasari

  • IndiaGlitz, [Tuesday,January 24 2012]

Speaking at the Hexa Platinum and success meet of Businessman, Dasari made a compelling point. Those who don't respect their directors and try to dominate them, will not grow in the industry. Without going into guessing who (all) he might have referred indirectly in saying this, one must appreciate the veteran for making a valid point.

In our generation, I used to like Krishna garu. Among the current crop of actors, Mahesh Babu is my favourite. For an ailing industry, he has given a bonanza in the form of Dookudu and Businessman. I feel that Dookudu is a jewel crown and a felicitation to the entire industry. We heard of Bollywood films crossing the one billion mark. But, we never imagined that a Telugu film will collect Rs. 100 cr.

Puri could complete the film in 76 days and release it in 120 days. It shows his commitment and hard work.

It is not important as to how much a film collects. What matters is how many hearts it has touched. The hero who keeps trust in his director is the only real hero. What Jagan told him, Mahesh did it, Dasari said in a long speech.
