In its charge sheet filed with the Ranga Reddy District Court on Monday, the Telangana Excise Department said that there is no evidence to nail Tollywood film celebrities in the drugs case. As per the charge sheet, the kingpin Kelvin's statements don't have an incriminating value.

None of the Tollywood celebs, who were interrogated by a Special Investigation Team in 2017, have been mentioned in the sheet. It's held that adequate evidence pointing at them is not available so far.

Mere statements by Kelvin can't be used as input to make charges against the film personalities. Last week, Puri Jagannadh and Tarun received a clean chit from the Forensics Laboratory after the examination of their samples. There is nothing to prove that the duo had consumed drugs.

Those who indulged in the dissemination of drugs did so through the dark web. And they are not film personalities. They distributed the drugs to their clients by contacting them via WhatsApp and email.
