No COVID-19 cases for second consecutive day in Kerala, 61 recovered!

For the second consecutive day, Kerala reported no fresh COVID-19 cases on Monday. Announcing the same, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan in his daily press briefing after a COVID evaluation meeting in Trivandrum added that 61 persons undergoing treatment had tested negative for coronavirus. This means that only 34 persons remain in various hospitals undergoing treatment.

As of Monday, a total of 499 persons had tested positive for the disease. With the latest recoveries, three districts- Thiruvananthapuram, Malappuram, and Kozhikode have become free of active COVID-19 patients. Currently, there are a total of 21,724 people under observation in the state, the CM said.

As there are no new COVID-19 cases in the state for the last 48 hours, the chances of fresh cases are unlikely.
