Kollywood Superstar Rajinikanth has decided to call off his grand birthday celebrations. The actor has decided to show solidarity to the victims of the floods and decided to drop the idea of celebrating his 65th birthday. The actor was expected to launch the new look poster from his upcoming Kabali and has also planned to launch his much awaited sequel Robo 2. But, the events are not happening as the superstar has decided not to celebrate his birthday.

Rajini also urged his fans to not celebrate his birthday since the Gateway of South India has become a victim of nature's fury. Rajinikanth requested his fans to help the needy and support the rain-affected victims. Recently, the Superstar announced Rs 10 lakh donation from his charitable trust to TN Chief Ministers Relief Fund for the flood hit victims.

Although the Superstar is facing criticism for contributing a small amount, considering his huge fan base, the donations are expected to be huge from his fans.
