The news is that some sections of the media have been targeting him for allegedly boycotting the NATA (North American Telugu Association) event in Dallas. It has been written about, without confirming the facts, that Sampoo decided to boycott the event because his picture was placed among the comedians fraternity by the organizers. This turns out to be totally false.

As reported by a media house, the Kobbari Matta actor couldn't attend the event because of visa issues. Although he could get one, two of those he wanted to go with couldn't. This made him cancel the visit.
