Hardly B-town is recovering from the shock of Yash ChopraÂs demise another bad news hit the industry. Shiv Sena supremo Bal Thackeray, who passed away on 17th Nov, left a void among several, especially the filmdom, where he was looked upon as a guiding light.
Many Bollywood celebrities took the micro-blogging site to express their condolences over the loss of such great personality and among them was filmmaker Ram Gopal Verma.
The man behind the two powerful political thrillers ÂSarkar and ÂSarkar Raj stated that Bal Saheb was the only source of inspiration behind these projects. Shared RGV, If Godfather was not there, I wouldn't have made 'Sarkar'...if Bala Saheb wasn't there, I couldn't have made 'Sarkar' (sic). Verma said that the film not only reflected the iconic personality but also carried some of the lines quoted by the man himself.
He wrote further, Many of the dialogue from both 'Sarkar' and 'Sarkar Raj' are actually Bala Saheb's lines which I copied from what he said. He actually told me, 'Mujhe jo sahi lagta hai main wahi karta hoon!', which I copied and made Amitji (Amitabh Bachchan) say it in 'Sarkar'.
With megastar Amitabh Bachchan in lead role, ÂSarkar (2005) also featured Abhishek Bachchan, Katrina Kaif, Anupam Kher, Kay Kay Menon, Supriya Pathak and Tanisha Mukherjee. The film was followed with the sequel in 2008 as ÂSarkar RajÂ.
