Rikkala Vilas of Nizamabad was once a farmer. Driven by poverty, he migrated to UAE to work as a construction worker. He was also a driver there.
While in the UAE, Rikkala came across a lottery ad of Big Raffle. The draw, he learned was worth Rs 28 Cr. He was tempted to buy a ticket to test his luck. The cost of the ticket, he was told, is Rs 20,000. He had no money and so, he borrowed it from his wife.
With his visa expiring, Rikkala recently came back to Telangana. Earlier this month, he learned the good news that he had won the lottery.
The man and his family are much in news for being so damn lucky! A person from humble origins can't ask for more.
