Earlier, it was reported that Nivin Pauly's Sakhavu will hit the big screens on April 14th, Vishu day. But, the lead actor Nivin Pauly recently confirmed that the release of the movie has been pushed by a day, to April 15th as the theatre rush would be comparatively low on that day being both Vishu and Good Friday.

Produced by B Rakesh, under the banner Universal Cinema, Sakhavu has music by Prashant Pillai.
