The first look poster of Nivin Pauly's Thuramukham, the actor's first collaboration with director-cinematographer Rajeev Ravi is out! The hand-sketched poster of the movie is highly intriguing and has already grabbed the attention of movie-lovers.
Touted to be a period thriller set in the 30s and 40s, the movie will revolve around the popular protests against the inhuman 'Chappa' system, a work guarantee scheme practiced in the Cochin harbor. According to the system, copper coins were thrown to a large number of workers waiting in the harbour, and whoever manages to grab one will be given work. Interestingly, the poster also features how miserable the system was and gives a sneak peek about Nivin's character look.
'Thuramukham' movie is based on a popular play of the same name written by KM Chidambaram. Scripted by Gopan Chidambaram, of 'Iyobinte Pusthakam', the movie will feature Nivin Pauly in the lead role along with Indrajith, Arjun Ashokan, Poornima Indrajith, Joju George, Manikandan Achari and Biju Menon in pivotal roles. Kerala Sate Film award winner Nimisha Sajayan is paired opposite Nivin in the movie.
Produced by Thekkepat Films, the movie's cinematography is handled by Rajeev Ravi, the director himself.
