Central minister Nitin Gadkari has said party workers must firstly give preference and take care of their families, and those who are not able to do that can never take care of a country. The BJP leader had been to a meeting by BJP Student wing Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad where he said the same.

Speaking amidst the party cadre, the union minister of road transport and highways said, "I have seen many people who said that they have devoted their lives for BJP and for the nation, and one of them when asked about his family and what he does for a living, said that he has a wife and children at home, and had closed his shop as the business wasn't going well".

"I told him to first take care of his home, as people who cannot manage their families will never be able to manage the country, and so first concentrate on your family and children and then one can work for political parties or for the nation" said Gadkari during his speech.
