2012 Malayalam super hit '22 Female Kottayam', a thriller with a message is being remade in Telugu with Nitya Menon as the lead, produced by Raj Kumar Sethupathi on Raj Kumar Theaters Productions Pvt Ltd., and directed by yesteryears heroine Sri Priya.

The movie's sound tracks are launched in an event in Hyderabad which was attended by a huge line of guests including Super star Krishna, Vijaya Nirmala, Yesteryears heroines Lata, Jaya Sudha, Actor Rana, Nandini Reddy, Ananth Sriram, writers Anuradha Umarji and Gautham Kashyap, Music composers Arvind and Shankar, senior actor Naresh etc.

The guests hailed the attempts of the makers to bring in a film with a female director, reminisced their association with the director Sri Priya, praised the young heroine Nithya Menon's work and wished the film a huge success.

Nithya said 'I was floored by Sri Priya's passion and conviction and agreed to do the role in spite of knowing that the role is challenging to play. The theme is quite current and societal. I am happy that I did a good film that is commercial, still passing a serious message'

Sri Priya the director said 'Nithya is a blessing for the film coz she is so involved in the character. She is the one who introduced the music composer duo to me. Lyricist Ananth Sriram is a great talent, too good for his age. I am confident that the film will be liked by Telugu audiences'

Ananth Sriram said 'I respect myself for having worked on this film. We have coined a word 'Nirbhaya Jyothi' in a song. The film gives a solution not just depicts the problem'
