Nithya Menon turns over a new leaf for Mani Ratnam

Not all actresses go for stereotypical roles as a heroine with the usual dancing around the tree scenes and there are a very few of them in fact. One of such actresses who chooses her role based on charcter and not on payments, is Nithya Menon.If she doesn't like the role she has been pitched, no matter what the pay, she does not take it up, ever.
Knowing this trait of hers, some producers and directors stay well away from her. We all know that this trait is good, but will make it harder for her to reach the peaks in cinema. When asked this question she said, " I wish to act in good movies and am waiting for that. I don't have any notion of being a number one actress." Nithya also had a few complaints on her, about coming late for shoots and similar things. It seems like she has turned over a new leaf and appears on set perfectly for Mani Ratnam's OK Kanmani film in which she is acting now. Sources say she took up this film without even asking about the story or payments. Double standards much?
