Nithya Menen becomes Nadigaiyar Thilagam

Young actress Nithya Menen has been making strong imprint as a performance oriented heroine in Kollywood. After '24' with Suriya and 'Mudinja Ivana Pudi' with Sudeep, Menen's upcoming release in Tamil will be the biggie 'Iru Mugan' in which she has shared the screen space with Vikram and Nayanthara.
Now we learn that the 'O Kadhal Kanamani' girl has been chosen for the biopic film on yesteryear heroine Savithri. This film will be made as a Tamil-Telugu bilingual by popular Tollywood director Nag Ashwin.
Sources reveal that Nag has written a script after doing extensive research on the life and career of Savithri and has and felt that Nithya Menen would be the apt choice for the lead role.
The source also adds that Nithya Menen has listened to the script and has liked it but she is yet to sign on the dotted lines.
We can expect an official announcement in this regard, very soon.
Unlike other biopic features on actresses that have come so far, this film will show the happier moments of Savithri's life as she is known to be a humorous person.
