Nithya Menen has opened up on the Me Too movement in the film industry to speak out against sexual harassment. "I chose not to be part of any grouping and I prefer to fight it silently," she says, making it clear that she has her own way of doing things. "I do everything possible to counter it (abuse). Just because I am not doing it one way, doesn't mean that I am not countering those things or I am not against it. I am, but I have a different approach," she told a news agency.
Elaborating further, Nithya adds, "I believe that my way is only through my work. The way that I work and the kind of things that I do, the way that I approach people when I am working. All this gives a strong message to people that I am working with, and to people who are watching my films."
The 'Mersal' heroine reveals that, in the past, she walked out of a few projects because she was uncomfortable with a person or two. The intense performer awaits the release of her multilingual film 'Praana', is making her Hindi debut in 'Mission Mangal', starring Akshay Kumar and is playing Savithri in 'NTR-Kathanayakudu', the biopic of legendary actor and former AP Chief Minister N.T. Rama Rao. Nithya Menon is also all set to play the late Tamil Nadu CM Jayalalitha in her biopic 'The Iron Lady'.
