Nithya Menen is much sought after

  • IndiaGlitz, [Thursday,May 10 2012]

Had Nithya Menen been someone who latched on to any and every role that comes her way, she would have already been stereotyped. The Ala Modalaindi actress cherry-picks her roles that best suit her. That is exactly what she has been doing as she juggles Tollywood, Mollywood, Sandalwood and Kollywood.

Post-Ishq, she has not shown much interest in making the most of the burst of fame. The choosy actress is not in a hurry to do roles without substance and end up as a pedestrian actress. Her role in Okkadine is that of a chirpy girl who falls in love with a soft-spoken guy. But before that, two dubbed Malayalam films would be releasing. Needless to say, both Dil Se and 50% Love – bank on the popularity this cutie enjoys in Andhra Pradesh.

Before she was introduced to the camera, the idealist streak prodded her wanted to become a courageous journalist, but she later chose to become a filmmaker when she realized that journalism is not what it ought to be. Will she direct films sooner or later? Let's wait and watch.
