After more than an year from Mollywood, popular young actress Nithya Menen will be back to films in Malayalam. Her new release in Malayalam, 'Bangalore days' will hit the theatres by the 23rd of May. Incidentally this is the film by Anwar Rasheed with whom the actress worked last in Malayalam in 'Ustad Hotel'.

It will be interesting to note that the actress, who had a scuffle with the lead producers of Malayalam, was kept away from Mollywood, without any new projects for more than one year. Though the producers maintained that they haven't issued an official ban on the actress, other film makers did kept away from signing her to avoid any sort of issues for their films upon their release. It may be also noted that the actress was suddenly seen out of work immediately after two hits like 'Ustad Hotel' and 'Bachelor Party'. The popularity of the actress was also soaring high during the period, but the producers seems to have hurt by the demanding nature of the actress which was seldom dubbed as a quality associated with her professionalism.

Anyhow, the absence of Nithya Menen for some quality career period of this 26 year old actress must be seen as another example of the ill effects of 'unnecessary bans' by different associations of Mollywood, that has earlier curbed many works of actors like Thilakan to the latest being the case of director Arun Kumar Aravind.
