Chocolate boy Nithiin is optimistic about 'A Aa' making a distinct mark. Saying that his character in the Trivikram-directed film is different from the lover boy roles he has played in the past, Nithiin talks about how the film fell in place, meeting Pawan Kalyan on the sets of 'A Aa', doing a sequel to 'Gundejhaari Gallanthayyinde' and more.

The trailer doesn't throw up hints of a great story line. What kind of a film is 'A Aa'?

This is not a new story. It's a simple love story with family emotions thrown in. It's a Trivikram mark film. It's a beautiful story narration by him.

As a chocolate boy, you have acted in a number of love stories. How different a rom-com is 'A Aa'?

The difference is that in the rom-coms I have done earlier, I am a low-end guy. Not in this film. Here I play a character which has a lot of dignity to it. He acts responsibly toward his family. He has problems in life, but to the outside world, he makes a happy expression.

How did this project come your way?

I must say that 'A Aa' is the right film for me at the right time. I was shooting for 'Heart Attack' in Spain when Trivikram Srinivas garu called me up and told me that we will do a film together. The project later fell into atrophy. I felt very sad. When the project took a rebirth a year back, I felt extremely happy.

Your character is that of a chef, right?

Yes, I am seen as a chef in a wealthy family. As I already said, I am a family man, a dependable son and a doting brother to a sister.

Did you do the film because you like Trivikram or is it because you liked the story?

Both are the two reasons why I did this film. I always wanted to work in the direction of Trivikram garu. Besides being excited about the opportunity to work with him, I also liked the script a lot. Be it Rao Ramesh garu or Naresh garu, every character has a role in the story. If this film has come out so well, the credit goes to Trivikram garu. This one is a 100 per cent director's film. He is the real hero of 'A Aa'.

People learn a lot from Trivikram. What have you learnt from him?

I have learnt things about acting from him. You will see that difference in my acting in 'A Aa'. I have worked with many directors. But in terms of meticulously designing my body language, dialogue delivery and even hair style, he is in the league of Teja garu and Rajamouli garu. He is a 'jnani'. By getting to work with him, I have had a bonding with him. Whenever I face a problem in my career or personal life, I will call him up.

As a huge fan of Power Star, how did you feel when Pawan visited the sets of 'A Aa'?

I had not known about his visit. So, when I saw him, I was pleasantly surprised and couldn't figure out what was happening. I was tensed to dance in his presence that day. We were shooting for a song.

By the way, your best friend Samantha is said to be getting married soon.

I don't know. She doesn't discuss such matters with me.

May be. But the media have been speculating about the young actor with whom she will tie the knot.

You all know who is that hero. He is the one. (Smiles).

Isn't there pressure on you get married?

There is. My family members have been prodding me to get married for the last two years. But I have been deferring every time by one year.

When is a sequel to 'Gundejhari Gallanthayyinde' happening?

Story discussions have been on. I am satisfied with the way the first half has shaped up. But I won't do it until I am not satisfied with the second half.
