The crowds will be smaller in size and as the threat of spread won't go away, the governments will consider opening theatres as least priority even after lockdown relaxation.

Hence, several producers who can't wait for months together for the situation to ease out and give them a clear cut solution, they are trying to crack deals with big OTT platforms.

If they can cover the entire budget and some profit margin, they are willing to premiere their films on OTT streaming services than just wait for theatres to open. Anushka's Nishabdam which was supposed to release in April, could be the first medium budget movie from Telugu to directly release on OTT platforms.

If the sources are to be believed, the producers who rejected the idea and deal, are back on negotiation table for a better deal and are considering viability also, it seems. But nothing has been official yet and it could all again just be a speculation.
