The 300 plus south Indian films stunt director Jolly Bastin taking up first film to direct `Ninagaagi Kadhiruve' has struggled hard but that is not enough. In the story and screenplay department he should have discussed several times before taking up this wafer thin story film. The first half is so boring and second half although has some good performance the story line is jaded.
What is astonishing is that we don't see the main profession of Jolly Bastin in this film. The spine chilling action scenes he is famous for is not a part of his maiden directorial cinema.
Nandan (Vishal Hegde) and Shwetha (Pooja Gandhi) are deeply in love. The couple is supported in the register marriage by Vishwas when Shwetha's brother intervenes. But the same Vishwas becomes a point of great commotion for Nandan and Shwetha is the tragedy part of the film. That is because accidentally Vishwas sees his friend Nandan wife Shwetha in nude. Vishwas is not able to control his mind after this and becomes psychic.
What happens in the reels to come is a pack of tragedy and Shwetha is posted to ICU where she is declared suffering from amnesia.
It is a superb role for Pooja Gandhi. She had dubbed for her film would definitely stand in the competition for awards. She has taken care in delivering the language properly. She looks slim and more beautiful and costumes for Pooja Gandhi are also very nice.
Dilipraj as psychic Vishwas steals the show. Vishal Hegde is also very convincing as Nandan. Two songs from Robin Gurung are well composed and sung. Cinematography of P Rajan is high class.
Scoring 6/10
