Nimrat Kaur: Karan Johar Is A Brand

Already riding high on the filmÂs overseas success, cast of ÂThe Lunchbox are eagerly waiting for the filmÂs Indian release. Directed by Ritesh Batra, the film is being readied for a September 20 release which will be presented by Karan Johar. Referring to KJoÂs association with the film, the female lead of ÂThe Lunchbox Nimrat Kaur is feeling quite upbeat about the filmÂs release. In an interview to IndiaGlitz, the ÂCadburys Silk famed beauty remarked, Karan Johar is a brand. His name is so big in the industry.
Already this Irrfan Khan and Nawazuddin Siddiqui starrer has won accolades at various international film festivals and now, with a prominent filmmaker of Karan JoharÂs stature backing it, the team believes that the film will surely have a boost and get a commercial touch.
Nimrat also admitted that she had great fun doing the film, especially to work with Irrfan and Nawazuddin. On an amusing note she claimed that, the fun part was she never had any scene together with Irrfan. On the other hand, Irrfan Khan is very confident about ÂThe Lunchbox and believes that it will make a good impression among audience. Stating that it has been appreciated by several filmmakers, Irrfan feels ÂThe Lunchbox has a universal appeal. On working with debutant director, Irrfan revealed that while shooting the film he never felt he was working with a first-timer.
ÂThe Lunchbox is being presented by UTV Karan Johar and DAR Motion Pictures and has been produced by Guneet Monga, Anurag Kashyap and Arun Rangachari. Co-Producers on the film include NFDC, Essel Vision, ASAP films, ROH films and Cine Mosaic.
