Nimisha Sajayan to make her Bollywood debut

Malayalam actress Nimisha Sajayan is all set to make her Bollywood debut. The National award-winning actress will be playing the lead role in Bollywood director Onir's upcoming movie titled We Are. Confirming the project, Nimisha wrote, Up next WE ARE - A powerful story which is a sequel to the highly acclaimed anthology series, I AM directed by @iamonir
The movie is the sequel to the director's National Award-winning movie I Am. Released in 2011, I Am was an anthology of four films, each addressing serious topics as child abuse, LGBTQIA+ rights, Kashmiri Pandits, and sperm donation. Details regarding the sequel are yet to be disclosed.
Nimisha Sajayan who made her debut with Dileesh Pothan's Thondimuthalum Driksakshiyum is one of the most promising actresses of Malayalam cinema. The actress has won accolades for her performance in movies such as Eeda, Oru Kuprasidha Payyan, and the recent releases Nayattu and The Great Indian kitchen. Nimisha is also playing the female lead in the forthcoming Nivin Pauly movie, Thuramukham.
She had recently completed the shooting of Footprints on water, a British Indian production, with Adil Hussain and Lena as her co-stars. Meanwhile, the actress is awaiting the release of Malik, in which the actress is playing opposite Fahadh Faasil.
