Nikhil Siddharth has said that the coronavirus pandemic is affecting the careers of actors, who are unable to complete the projects they have okayed. The uncertain atmosphere has rendered many projects non-starters.
In his tweet on Thursday, the 'Kirrak Party' actor said that he has greenlit four great scripts, only to see them not taking off. "Very sad to see this pandemic affect careers on this level. After the success of 'Arjun Suravaram', I signed four movies. Four brilliant scripts that I am very confident about. But release dates have all gone haywire. Praying to God this all sorts out and we release the movies perfectly," he added.
Nikhil had no theatrical release in 2020 and 2021. His last release was 'Arjun Survaram' in 2019. 'Karthikeya 2', directed by Chandoo Mondeti, stars Anupama Parameswaran, Swathi Reddy and Rao Ramesh. The thriller has music by Kaala Bhairava. Its shoot is over. Nikhil is also fronting '18 Pages', which is directed by Palnati Surya Prathap. Also co-starring Anupama Parameswaran, the film has music by Gopi Sundar. The film would have been released by now if not for the third wave. Both 'Karthikeya 2' and '18 Pages' will lock their release dates soon.
