Rahul Ravindran has a solution for the dormant lechery in perverts/drunkards - a solution that is social and long-term, a solution that has had many proponents and takers. Dismayed by the Bengaluru "mass molestation" that took place on the night of New Year day celebrations, the actor says that the latent perversion in perverts gets emboldened by alcohol.

"That video right there is the anatomy of a molestation. Lays bare the psychology behind such an act. Latent perversion emboldened by liquor. A false sense of encouragement the revelry of the occasion provides. And the helplessness of the victim. It's not the clothes she is wearing, nor the 'inviting' behaviour. It never is. It's always the latent perversion and repressed, unhealthy curiosity about the opposite sex," he writes.

As a solution, he makes this suggestion: "Encourage your sons to make friends with girls from a young age. And they won't grow up viewing them as sex objects alone."
