As per producer and distributor Sunil Narang of Asian Cinemas, no important film will arrive at the cinemas before night curfews are lifted by the state governments of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. "It's hoped that the situation will be back to normal by the middle of July," Narang has been quoted as saying by a Telugu daily.
Night curfews remained in operation last year for too long. It has to be seen what is in store this time around. Governments are likely to be even more cautious than last year. In that case, there is no hope for middle-range movies (forget big-scale ones) before August.
Starring Naga Chaitanya as a zumba trainer in the dance-based drama, 'Love Story' has Sai Pallavi as the heroine. Rajeev Kanakala, Eeswari Rao and others have pivotal roles. The dance-based drama skipped the April 2021 theatrical release even before theatres were shut down. The decision proved to be right. Family audiences have to start coming to theatres first. And it may not happen anytime soon. That's why 'Love Story' has been kept in abeyance by the producers and distributors.
