Night curfews extended in Telangana
Send us your feedback to audioarticles@vaarta.com
The Telangana government today took a decision to extend night curfews. Earlier, it was said that the night curfews would end on the morning of May 1. Today, it was announced that they will continue till 5 am, May 8.
The 7-day extension comes in the wake of several States continuing restrictions like partial lockdown, night curfews, etc.
It seems the KCR government believes that such restrictions nudge the people towards observing covid discipline. While the utility of such restrictions is not scientifically driven, they help marginally to create a perception around coronavirus.
Meanwhile, the KCR government is not in favour of a total lockdown in the State. This is good news for small businessmen. The Centre, too, is not in favour of such a move. It has left it to the States to decide as per their own unique conditions. Recently, the Supreme Court of India said that the power to impose lockdowns should be with the governments.
