NGT deadline, submit report in 10 days

The most depressing state of affairs of Bellandur Lake a havoc especially when the rain fall is severe, the National Green Tribunal has asked for the state government to set right the condition and submit the report within 10 days.

The Bellandur lake emanating foam to the road side was taken note by the NGT commission on Tuesday. The judge of NGT Swatantrakumar sought every detail from the government in curbing the situation that is environmental hazard to the people.

The next hearing of NGT is on September 8. A notice to submit the action taken was given earlier. August 22 was the deadline fixed. The officials representing Karnataka government failed to convince the NGT on measures.

The secretary of Urban Development ministry, Lake development Board CEO, State pollution control board President and Advocate General Aditya Sondhi should discuss on the issue of Bellandur Lake and report should be submitted it was told.

According to statistic available only 60 percent of effluent to the lake pushed out but remaining particles in the lake is severely causing trouble in the environment.
