The music album of 'NGK', starring Suriya in the lead, is out. The film's music is by Yuvan Shankar Raja. Presenting four songs, it has renditions by Sathyan, Jithin Raj, Sid Sriram, Hemambiga, and Sarath Santhosh.
Speaking at the audio launch event, Suriya said, "NGK is more than a political drama and a thriller. The director has made the movie after observing the political developments and incidents that have taken place since 2000. It was in 2002 that I first asked director Sri Raghava garu to do a film with him. I am happy to have finally got to work with him. It was a learning experience to do the film every day. I was amazed looking at the way the director makes use of every craft. He goes beyond our expectations every single time. I want to work with him again. If he thinks of a story after 'NGK', I wish he would offer me the story. Coming to the music, Yuvan Shankar Raja is the best music director of the generation. Sivakumar's visuals and KL Praveen's editing will be highlights. Sai Pallavi has done her challenging role so well. The producers never compromised anywhere on the quality. We are releasing the movie on May 31."
Director Sri Raghava said, "This one is a complicated script. I and my producers chose Suriya, as we felt only he would be apt for the story. He can get even small emotions expressively. He is a director's actor. Both Sai Pallavi and Rakul Preet Singh have done a nice job."
Sai Pallavi said, "Working on this film was like going to a school. I would be asked to go to the location without any kind of preparation. I didn't understand why in the beginning. But once I started working with the director, I understood why he asked me not to come prepared. Sri Raghava garu always picturizes a scene by going beyond our expectations. He is like an institution. I realized that I know nothing, working with him. I just followed his instructions. I am a big fan of Suriya garu. He is always friendly toward everyone on the sets. He is one in the millions."
Yuvan Shankar Raja said, "Every time I and Sri Raghava have worked together, we have tried to create something new, we have always experimented."
Producer SR Prabhu said, "We are very excited about the release of the movie. We are as excited today as we were when we listened to the story. The film should have hit the screens long back but we couldn't do it due to some issues like strikes in the industry. Everyone in the team has given their best. RR work is currently on."
