We have seen the 1990’s hit film ‘Aashiqui’ in a new version recently and now it’s the turn of yet another musical hit of nineties to be transformed in brand new avatar.. Buzz is that the 1992’s Shah Rukh Khan starrer ‘Deewana’ will soon have a sequel.

Talks are that its producer Guddu Dhanoa is keen to take ‘Deewana’ to next level. While the title remains the same, the filmmaker in an interview clarified the latest ‘Deewana’ will be totally different from the original - it will of course have the romantic them but with new story. "We are using the title 'Deewana' but something would be added to the title. It is like how Bhatt's are making films like 'Murder', 'Jannat' I am also doing something similar," said Dhanao in an interview.

He also said that the script is ready and they are yet to finalise the cast.

Directed by Raj Kanwar, ‘Deewana’ which also starred late Divya Bharti and Rishi Kapoor, was a huge hit, especially for its songs including - "Aisi Deewangi", "Sochenge Tumhe Pyar", "Payaliya" among others.
