Khoslas from Defence Colony, Delhi, are back again. And no, this time they do not have another dramatic showdown to tackle a ruffian builder!! But to enjoy some popcorn and cola at another exalted film festival, UTV’s 'Khosla Ka Ghosla' has been invited to the filmAsia to be held in Graz, Austria between April 13th- 17th, 2007 where it would be competing with other Asian master pieces.

filmASIA is the new dimension of a film festival in Austria and Europe! ”Experience the cinema” in the truest sense of the word! This festival will make an important contribution to the development of synergies with the Asian market, film industry and culture. filmASIA will enrich the Styrian film scenery. Sophisticated mainstream films combined with economy and tourism take the centre stage of this special event.

'Khosla Ka Ghosla' bagged honours for the best original screenplay award at the Kara festival held in Karachi in Dec 06 & at this year's Screen awards won the Ramnath Goenka award for Path-breaking cinema. The salient ingredient about the film remains its simple and straightforward plot.

A superb masterpiece, it portrays how a middle class family fight back a builder using his own tricks of trade. Generally real estate issues are not only of big menace in the Indian subcontinent but also across the world. It is this magical mantra that enabled to win the hearts of many exploited fans who might have been through the same ordeal when dealing with property issues.

The image of Indian cinema being famous for its main line commercial big budgeted films is fast changing now. This honour proves that Indian cinema today has a demand across the world with niche market like Austria waking up to the magic of Indian films. A film like 'Khosla Ka Ghosla', where the story was the Hero and was made in a small lean budget goes to prove that a film story needs to connect with the audience.
