Actor Jayam Ravi had his first release of the year with Comali directed by debutant Pradeep Ranganathan and produced by Vels Film International. The movie also starred Kajal Aggarwal, Yogi Babu, Samyuktha Hegde and KS Ravikumar and was released on August 15.

Comali received positive reviews and audience response and is still running successfully, and now it has been made official by the team Comali that the movie has entered the 50 crores club. Comali now becomes the second biggest hit in Jayam Ravi's career after Thani Oruvan.

Comali was about a hero who enters coma after an accident, and wakes up after 16 years and how he claims a long lost family treasure. The movie had music by Hip Hop Thamizha. On the other hand, it has been said that Pradeep Ranganathan will again direct a movie for Vels Film International.
