In Malayalam Cinema there have been several superhit movies based on CID such as CID Nazir, CID Unnikrishnan BA B.Ed., Pattanapravesham and CID Moosa. And now for the first time an actress is all set to don a CID avatar.

Actress Miya George who recently got married to Ashwin Philip is all excited about her new project titled CID Sheela. Sharing the motion poster of the movie the actress wrote that it was the first time she was playing a title character.

Going by the teaser, the movie is said to feature in two get-ups – as a housewife and as what seems to be an investigative office. Directed by Saiju SS, who had earlier helmed Ira, the upcoming movie goes by the tagline, ‘‘Never underestimate the power of a common woman.”

Penned by Naveen John, who had worked with Saiju earlier in Ira, the movie's editing is by Mahesh Narayanan. Cinematography is by and music by Prakash Alex. Produced by Dinesh Kollappally, the movie is said to go on floors soon. More details regarding the cast and crew are yet to be revealed.
