Sunrisers Hyderabad and New Zealand captain Kane Williamson has become a father for the second time as he and his wife Sarah Raheem welcomed their baby boy on May 22 (Sunday).
Sharing an adorable picture of Sarah holding their daughter as well as the newborn, Williamson wrote, “Welcome to the whanau little man.” Congratulatory messages poured in for the couple soon after from fans and cricketers across the world, including his former SRH teammates Rashid Khan and Jason Holder, and former CSK batsman Suresh Raina. Williamson and Sarah Raheem became parents for the first time in 2020 after welcoming daughter Maggie on December 16.
The SRH captain left the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) midway to be with his wife during the birth of their second child. In his absence, Bhuvneshwar Kumar took over as the captain of the team. Williamson would be leading New Zealand in a three-match away Test series against England, which begins on June 2 at the Lord’s Stadium in London.
