New Year revelry on Monday night turned violent in Madhapur's Siddhi Vinayaka Nagar, Hyderabad. At a cricket ground, a private company organized celebrations for revelers for a ticket price. The customers were offered the best services.
Some time after the party began, many customers expressed their dissatisfaction over the paucity of drinks at the venue. They also became restless over the "poor" DJ entertainment. Some youngsters took their ire by pouring liquor onto the stage. Someone set the stage on fire and it was engulfed by fire in no time.
To add to the melee, many irate youngsters resorted to vandalism by throwing chairs and tables in a fit of rage. All of this resulted in chaos.
The organizers and onlookers in the vicinity dailled the police, who took action against the vandals and doused the fire. No much damage to property was reported. No casualty was reported.
