New Twitter rules come as bad news to politicians

Twitter has notified new rules to keep "extremism, hate speech, violence, and abuse" under check. In this endeavour, the micro-blogging site will label and throttle tweets which violate its rules. If its preliminary reviews don't find a tweet proper or in public interest, it will be taken down.
Politicians and government officials who have more than 1,00,000 followers will come to face this standard from now.
The users will also need to click on a screen with a special message before a flagged tweet can be read. This applies to those which are not taken down but which are found to be violating some or the other rule.
Sections of Western media are of the view that the new rules will affect the US President Donald Trump.
