A few weeks back Thalapathy Vijay released a statement requesting people to not abuse anyone, especially the women in social media and reiterated everyone's write to criticize a film.

On Saturday, Thala Ajith surprised everyone by releasing a press release in the form of a Legal notice in which he spoke against people claiming to be his fans abusing and trolling others. He also apologized for the hurt and harm caused for such trolls and abuses.

The statements released by these two stars has indeed served the purpose at least to a small extent thereby giving a blow to all who were cynical about these statements and the so called intellectuals who constantly speak ill about both the stars and their fans.

A look at the Social media troll pages of Ajith run by self proclaimed Vijay fans and troll pages of Vijay run by self proclaimed Ajith fans will reveal that many fans of Ajith and Vijay have started disliking the practice of trolling the other star. For instance in the troll page of Ajith, some Vijay fans themselves comment against the troll posts and memes targeting Ajit. Like wise in the Troll page of Vijay some Ajith fans comment stating that every Thala fan should Unfollow that page as Thala has spoken against the culture of abusing others under his name.

This is highly welcome trend initiated by the level headed statement of the two matinee idols who rule the Tamil cinema Box office and the hearts of crores of fans.
