One of the icons of Kannada cinema Dr Vishnuvardhana statue made out of fiber in Bengaluru Laggere was unveiled by his long time friend actor, producer and director Dwarakish. This is the 3rd statue in Karnataka for Dr Vishnuvardhana. The first to come up was in Bellary Park that was inaugurated by Dr Bharathi Vishnuvardhana.

The statue by sculptor Shivakumar is of three feet height made in three months time. It is around this Vishnuvardhana statue the tentatively titled ‘Vishnuvardhana’ Kannada film shooting starring Sudeep, Priyamani and Bhavana were also shot says Dwarakish.

The Kadamba Kannada Yuvaka Vedike has come out with this statue and it is funded by Mr Srinivas. Lokesh, KP Ravi and Andanappa were present at this inauguration.
