New lease of hope

With Jyothika playing heroine in Rajnikanth's Chandramukhi and director Bala's Mayavi, efforts are on to revive her long-pending movie Manikanda opposite Arjun.
The movie went to floors about a couple of years back. Unfortunately, the shooting was halted then for various reasons. One of them being Jyothika herself. She goofed up with her call-sheets and she was even red-carded in the industry for that.
But despite the problems being sorted out, the film didn't progress.
Now with Jyothika back on track with big releases lined up, the producers of Manikanda are hoping to complete their project and get it released to cash in on her popularity.
