The director of Arya’s ‘Padithurai’ has done a thing not done by anyone else yet. He is introducing an 85 years old woman in the film who hasn’t seen a movie in her lifetime so far. Kuppammal who lives in Courtallam is doing an important role in the film. The old lady surprises the director Suga every time she performs in front of the camera. So impressed with her dedication, the team paid her well. The old lady was a find of the assistants team which hand picked the junior artistes after tedious searches for Naan Kadavul.

Padithurai is the first production venture for Arya under his newly lanched banner The Show People.

Padithurai is adapted from the famous novel ‘Ettu Thikkum Madhayaanai’ by Nanjil Nadan. Suga, who is an assistant to Bala is shaping the film well.
