In a recent TV interview, Balachandra Kumar had revealed that Dileep allegedly watched the visuals of the sexual assault on the actor and maintained a close relationship with the prime accused, Sunil Kumar alias Pulsar Suni, who had worked as a driver in the film industry. After Balachandra Kumar made the statements, several audio clips surfaced online that revealed that the actor and his team threatened officials who are investigating the case.
The incident occurred in February 2017 when a top leading actress was kidnapped and assaulted allegedly on the behest of Dileep. It is being alleged that the prime accused, 'Pulsar' Suni was paid by actor Dileep to kidnap and assault the female actor. In July 2017, Dileep was arrested and named the alleged mastermind of the attack. However, he was released on bail before the end of three months. The trial of the case is in the last stages at a special court in Kochi.
