The mischief and misappropriation happening from Book My Show category has hurt many of the Kannada film producers. It was Jack Manjunath who raised the objection recently as he got affected with ‘Mugulunage’ film screening.

It is Jack Majunath noted producer and distributor of Mysuru Talkies suggested a new App for Kannada films to the Kannada Film Producers Association heads Munirathna Naidu and Soorappa Babu.

‘Book My Show’ is there to reserve the tickets. That’s all. Selling 100 tickets, remaining is shown as house full but in accounts it is a different picture. By doing this foul method the regular audience intend to come are not reaching out look at Book My Show.

In the bookings made also there is no revenue for the producer of the concerned film. This issue has been discussed with KFPA Munirathna Naidu and Soorappa Babu. We are even giving Rs.12000 for satellite charges. This is another burden said Jack Manju at the ‘Mugulunage’ success meet.

The evolving of new App for meeting the requirements is the right method. When the money of the KFPA is invested on technology, it would help the producer in return. The audience and producer would get good benefits he added.

As a result of such a good suggestion KFPA is coming up with new App from November 1 2017 – a gift to Kannada film producers on Rajyotsava Day.

In the Book My Show besides the wrong information to mislead the cine goers, Rs.30 to Rs.40 was charged extra. From this new App only Rs.15 is charged per ticket. The 15 rupees is divided Rs.5 each to theatre, producer of the concerned film and Producers Association equally.

Former KFCC President KV Chandrasekhar owner of Veeresh theatre has entrusted the task of developing this App to his son Kushal. The App will also be given a new name when it is declared open on November 1 says Soorappa Babu, secretary of the KFPA.
