We confirmed recently that Siavakrthikeyan starrer 'Maaveeran' resumed shooting after the Chennai rains and the filming is on track as per the plans. National Award-winning filmmaker Madonne Ashwin (Mandela fame) directs this upcoming action drama produced by Shanthi Talkies.

The cast comprises Aditi Shankar as the leading lady, director Mysskin as the antagonist and veteran actress Saritha as SK's mother with Telugu actor Sunil playing a prominent role. Earlier, Madonne Ashwin confirmed that 'Maaveeran' will have unique action sequences and Sivakarthikeyan will be seen performing a different style of action scenes.

The latest hot news is that the makers have now roped in Yannick Ben as the stunt director for 'Maaveeran'. The team shared a video of Yannick Ben from the sets of 'Maaveeran' on social media pages to confirm his addition to the crew. Yannick Ben is popular for his work in the films - 'Puli Murugan', 'Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu', and 'Yashoda'. He has also worked in 'Dhruva Natchathiram' and 'Jawaan'.

Maaveeran shooting is currently going on in Chennai ECR. Almost 40% of filming is over and the entire production will be wrapped up within 2022. The technical team includes Bharath Sankar as the music director, Vidhu Ayyanna as the cinematographer and Philomin Raj as the editor. The Tamil-Telugu film will arrive in cinemas before the 2023 Summer holidays.
